Tech Month Chicago Terms of Service
Use of Service. You confirm that, in agreeing to accept these Terms, you have not relied on any representation that is not expressly included in these Terms.
Severability. If any part of these Terms shall be deemed unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed to be severable from these Terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any of the remaining provisions of the Terms. Listing Service. Tech Month Chicago is not the organizer or owner of the events listed on the Website and, except as otherwise explicitly stated, is not affiliated with such events. Tech Month Chicago provides the Website solely to help users find, list, and promote events. Tech Month Chicago is not responsible for the events. It is the event organizer’s sole obligation to ensure that any event meets all applicable local, state, provincial, national and other laws, rules and regulations, and that the goods and services described in any event page posting are actually delivered in a satisfactory manner. Tech Month Chicago cannot ensure that users will be satisfied with any events, products or services promoted on our Website or on another website via a third-party link. Tech Month Chicago also expressly disclaims any and all liability for events listed on the Website, and for the actions or omissions of the organizer or owner of such events, including but not limited to, liability for (a) an event organizer’s failure to hold or correctly list the date of an event, (b) any discrepancies between the event description on the Website and the actual event, and (c) any and all disputes or claims arising out of or related to the event.

Users expressly absolve and release Tech Month Chicago from any claim of harm resulting from a cause beyond Tech Month Chicago’s control including, but not limited to, failure of electronic or mechanical equipment or communication lines, telephone or other interconnect problems, computer viruses, unauthorized access, theft, operator errors, severe weather, earthquakes, natural disasters, strikes or other labor problems, wars, terrorism, or governmental restrictions.
No Resale Of Service. You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, trade, resell or exploit for any commercial purposes, any portion of the Website, use of the Website, or access to the Website. If you operate a website and wish to link to the Website, you may do so provided you agree to cease such link upon request from us.

Such submissions include, but are not limited to, uploading, posting, transmitting, or otherwise making available to the Website any text, images, audio files, video clips, or any audio-visual content to the Website (collectively, “Contributed Content”).
By posting Contributed Content using the Website, you agree that Tech Month Chicago, its authorized agents, designees, licensees, vendors, owners, successors and assigns may, but are not obligated to, use the Contributed Content and you grant Tech Month Chicago a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, paid up right and license to reproduce, exhibit and otherwise use or authorize the use of the Contributed Content and any portion thereof at any time and to distribute the same by any medium, for any purpose, including but not limited to the promotion of Tech Month Chicago. Additionally, each User of the Website is granted an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, free of charge, license to access the User Submissions through the Website. You further grant Tech Month Chicago the right to use your name, image, likeness, appearance, voice, sounds, video or digital recordings, audio clips and the like, or that of your minor child, as such is embodied in the Contributed Content. In addition to and without limiting the foregoing, you understand that the Contributed Content may be used in advertising and promotion materials created on behalf of Tech Month Chicago and may be displayed and shared in such locations and mediums that include, but are not limited to, online in various social media sites, websites owned by or on behalf of Tech Month Chicago, email or other potential offline channels such as newspapers.
You acknowledge that you are not due any credit, acknowledgement or compensation in connection with this license or use of the Contributed Content and that you do not have any rights of review, editing or approval regarding the Contributed Content. Age Restrictions. Tech Month Chicago is concerned about the safety and privacy of children. For this reason, you must be at least eighteen (18) years of age, or the legal age of majority where you reside, to use the Website. Otherwise you may use the Website only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. In any event, you may not use the Website if you are under the age of thirteen (13).

Using a name other than your own legal name in association with the submission of Contributed Content is prohibited (except in those specific areas of the Website that may specifically ask for unique, fictitious names).

Reviews. Users may be able to post reviews of events, businesses, and other features listed on the Website. Reviews do not reflect the views of Tech Month Chicago or its respective employees, owners, officers, or directors. Tech Month Chicago hereby disclaims any responsibility or liability for any review or for any claims, damages, or losses resulting from any use of the Website or the materials contained therein.
Contributed Content Screening and Removal. You acknowledge that the Website and/or its designees may or may not pre-screen Contributed Content, and shall have the right (but not the obligation), in their sole discretion, to move, remove, block, edit, or refuse any Contributed Content for any reason, including without limitation that such Contributed Content violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.
Contests, Promotions Or Games. From time to time, Tech Month Chicago may offer as part of the Website, either on or through the Website, contests, promotions or games (collectively, “Games”). To participate in Games, participants (each a “Participant,” and collectively “Participants”) may be required to submit Contributed Content. Participants aged 13 and over may submit the Contributed Content themselves; Participants may also submit Contributed Content on behalf of someone under the age of 13. Upon submission, all Contributed Content becomes the exclusive property of Tech Month Chicago. Tech Month Chicago, at its sole discretion, may suspend or revoke the participation of any Participant.
Participants agree to release Tech Month Chicago and its agents, advertisers, sponsors or promotional partners, from all liability arising from participation in any of Game located on, or accessed through, the Website. Tech Month Chicago is not responsible for technical, hardware, or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions which may limit any Participant’s ability to participate in any Game. Each Participant agrees to be bound by the rules of any Game. A Participant who violates any of the rules or guidelines for behavior published on the Website, or the site where the Game is conducted, are subject to immediate disqualification and revocation of their registration. Tech Month Chicago is under no obligation to award any prize to any Participant who violates a published rule or guideline.
Some Games may offer prizes to Participants. All prizes are subject to the official game or contest rules published with that Game.

Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer of Warranties are Material Terms of these Terms. You agree and acknowledge that the provisions of these Terms that limit liability and disclaim warranties are essential terms of these Terms.

Indemnity.
